Time difference and time zones

Everyone encounters it sooner or later. People are looking for the time difference between your country and another country. This can be because of holidays, big events abroad but also because of a telephone call you have to make. By adjusting your time to local time during your stay abroad, you avoid situations you would rather not encounter. For example, departure and arrival times on airline tickets are almost always given in local time. It can also help prevent a jetlag.

Time zone map

On the map below you can see in detail how the world is divided into time zones. The time zones on the map run from UTC -12 (e.g. Baker Island) to UTC +14 (e.g. Line Islands). You will only see standard time on this map. Possible summer times and/or exceptions can be found on the extended time difference page of your destination.
